Our evening classes are open to adults of all ages, abilities and backgrounds

Our classes at ‘The Dancehouse Theatre’ include ballet, pointe work, jazz, tap, contemporary, progressing ballet technique, belly dance and street dance there’s definitely something to suit everyone.
 
We also provide classes for children from the age of 3 – 16 years old. Please click here to find out more about these classes. Please note that our evening classes are not open to children.

Ballet Classes

Always had a desire to dance but never had the opportunity to? Did you dance when you were a child but not for several years? This class is designed just for you! The class starts off at the barre where a number of exercises are taught to help improve posture, increase muscle tone, strength and flexibility

PRogressive Ballet Technique

Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet. It gives students a better understanding of how to engage the right muscles in order to dance safely and correctly

CONTEMPORARY Classes

Whereas ballet and jazz teach you to pull up, contemporary dance teaches how to release, relax and loosen up the body. Contemporary is often described as dance in its’ rawest form. The best description we’ve ever heard is ‘Contemporary is to dance, what Andy Warhol is to art

Jazz Classes

There are several different styles of jazz in the dance world from funky jazz to broadway and commercial jazz to lyrical. We love to keep you up to date by incorporating the various styles with chart topping songs and using them to inspire a new routine each week. We start off the jazz class with a warm-up to get the heart pumping

Children’s Classes

Tap

​Tap is a fantastic way to improve your rhythm and get fit in a social environment. We fuse together many styles including rhythm tap, broadway tap and hoofing, and set it to a wide array of music – from the traditional genres of big band and swing, to the latest chart sounds.
